RESEARCH INTEREST

The research is promoted within the framework of the fixed University sponsorships and through funded national and international research projects. The research results are published in international or Greek journals and are announced at conferences and workshops.

During the last twenty years, the members of the Division have supported a plethora of national and international highly competitive research programmes, placing particular emphasis on applied research (pollution/soil decontamination, desertification, fertility, recycling in the territorial ecosystem, microbial soil ecology, relations of soil plants, rehabilitation of problematic soils, land use, GIS, etc.) as well as basic research(Genesis, classification of soils).
